The original Bar 44. Opened by brothers Tom and Owen in 2002 in a small space overlooking the picturesque market town of Cowbridge. The mission? To bring Spanish food, drink and a great vibe to the people of Cowbridge. The 13 years that followed have been an evolution in our obsession with Spain and everything that lies within. The original bar 44 has been the testing ground for all our ideas within the Spanish food and drink spectrum. It has become a bit of an institution within the town, but never stops changing its offering - though the welcome is always the same.
What to expect?
Great made from scratch Spanish food, incredible ingredients, a wonderful 100% Spanish selection of drinks from wine and water to sherry to cocktails, plus service with a smile. Sherry is a big focus here too, in fact we took part in Antonio Flores' world first live interactive tasting from Jerez last year. Private events and tasting are also available in Cowbridge.
