Moscatel adds a nutty sweetness to this elegant cocktail. Enjoy it as an aperitif, served with a meal, or as a digestif.
The Perfect Lepanto was awarded 2nd runner up in the 2011 Sherry Cocktail Competition.
Ingredients
1.5 oz
Lepanto OV Oloroso Gran Reserva Brandy
1 oz
Lustau Emilin Moscatel Sherry
3/4 oz
Lillet Blanc
3/4 oz
Lillet Rouge
2 dashes
Angostura Bitters
2 dashes
Regan's Orange Bitters
Directions
Measure ingredients and pour into a mixing glass. Add ice to fill the mixing glass. With a long bar spoon, stir until a frost builds on the outside of the mixing glass. Should stir for about 30 seconds. Strain the cocktail into a chilled coupe glass. Cut a nice sized long orange peel and squeeze orange oils on top of drink. Place orange peel into the cocktail.
