A tropical twist on a classic Sherry Cobbler, the Meyer's Cobbler is brings together Amontillado and dark rum with fresh lemon and strawberry to make the perfect foil to a hot day.
Ingredients
3/4 oz.
Amontillado Sherry
1.5 oz.
Demerara Rum (El Dorado 5)
1/4 oz.
fresh lemon juice
1/4 oz.
demerara sugar syrup (1:1 ratio)
1 tsp
strawberry puree
1 dash
Angostura bitters
Garnish
berries and mint
Directions
Shake all ingredients in a shaker tin with ice. Strain over a fresh pile of crushed ice in rocks glass. Garnish with berries and mint.

Pairing Amontillado with food
Amontillado should be served at a temperature of between 12 and 14º C.
It is an ideal wine to accompany soups and consommés, white meat, blue fish (tuna), wild mushrooms and semi-cured cheeses.
It combines perfectly with vegetables such as asparagus and artichokes.
