Take a Trip on the Sherrylink

Throughout the week from 7th-13th November Manchester Sherry Spots will be featuring Sherry Wine flights, drop in tastings and Sherry food pairings. The Sherrylink route enables you to hop from shop to shop and sample the wares on offer without the need for a designated driver!  Following the route of the Altrincham to Bury tram the map features 8 local wine merchants where you can taste and purchase a wide range of sherries from many producers

The Sherrylink came to fruition over a Sherry tasting lunch where Marc Hough from Cork of the North had the idea of creating a route across the City which could promote the region's Independent Wine Merchants, without any concern for drinking and driving. Sherryweek seemed like the natural opportunity to get the idea off the ground.

You can sample the wine flight at Reserve Wines paired with the fabulous food of Market House, pick up a bottle of two to take home with great special offers at Cork of the North and study the latest curated sherry list at Hanging Ditch.  Salut Wines will offer you an amazing Affogato with Pedro Ximenez and Evuna will be complimenting their Spanish cuisine with a Sherry taster that will suit every palate.

Once you’ve savoured a Sherry or two there’s no need to worry about driving, you can hop back on the Metrolink to take you home safely! So why not buy a day travel pass and take a Sherryweek trip to remember on the Sherrylink!
